1 Corinthians

Paul founded the Corinthian church on his second missionary journey as recorded in Acts Chapter 18. I Corinthians contains more details about the actual conditions within the Corinthian church than any other church in the New Testament. Even Apostolic churches were not perfect churches. Paul had to write the to correct disorders such as divisions, immorality, internal disputes, practices in worship and doctrinal faults. He also had to answer questions they had on topics such as marriage, eating things offered to idols, spiritual gifts, and offerings.



Chapter 1

Chapter 2

2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

Chapter 3

Chapter 4

Chapter 7

38 So then he that giveth her in marriage doeth well; but he that giveth her not in marriage doeth better.
39 The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.
40 But she is happier if she so abide, after my judgment: and I think also that I have the Spirit of God.

Chapter 8
